Mahmoud Taymour’s Critical Perspective in His Book “Monologues with Books and Writers”: A Descriptive Analytical Study

Abstract
This study explores and analyzes Mahmoud Taymour’s critical perspective as reflected in his Monologues with Books and Writers, focusing on the pioneering authors of the Arab Renaissance. The research aims to elucidate this vision, to highlight Taymour’s attention to the writer and his deep appreciation of language, and to examine the extent of impressionism in his artistic affiliations. Through an introduction and three main sections, the study reveals the intimate nature of Taymour’s dialogue with books, his meticulous concern for language, his admiration for its distinguished figures, and his inclination toward impressionism . It also uncovers the clarity, understanding, and objectivity that characterize his monologues, reflecting his profound awareness of his literary and critical context. The study concludes by recommending the continued engagement with such exemplary pioneering models.
