Abstract
The study aimed to reveal the nature of the correlation between educational games and information retention among primary school students from the point of view of female teachers in the Jeddah region of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. To achieve the study objectives, two scales were developed for educational games and information retention, and their psychometric properties were verified. A random sample of (380) female teachers was selected, and the two scales were applied to them. The results of the study showed that the level of both the teachers’ use of educational games and the level of students’ information retention was average. There is also a positive correlation between educational games and information retention. The results also indicated the presence of statistically significant differences in educational games and information retention attributed to the variable of the teacher’s specialization, in favor of the scientific specialization compared to the humanities specialization. Based on the results of the study, some recommendations were made, including working on using educational games due to their role in information retention among students.
