The effectiveness of a program based on the introduction of writing processes in developing the performance of writing skills among learners of Arabic who speak other languages
Main Article Content
Abstract
The research aimed to develop a list of appropriate writing skills among learners, create a proposed program based on the writing processes approach to enhance learners' writing skills, and measure the effectiveness of this program. To achieve these objectives, the researcher used descriptive-analytical and quasi-experimental methodologies. The researcher arrived at a list of writing skills performance, consisting of three basic skills from which eleven sub-skills emerged. The percentage of learners demonstrating writing skills was (43.2%), which is equivalent to a "weak" rating. The results showed statistically significant differences at the (0.05) level between the mean scores of the research sample in the pre-test and post-test of writing skills performance, in favor of the post-test. Furthermore, statistically significant differences were found at the (0.05) level between the mean scores of the research sample in each of the skills of construction, accuracy, and organization in the pre-test and post-test, again in favor of the post-test. This confirms the effectiveness of the program based on the writing processes approach in developing learners' writing skills performance.
