Main Article Content
Abstract
This study aimed to determine the level of practice of visual management strategies among university leaders at Al-Jouf University, to identify the level of employee engagement among the university’s employees, and to explore the relationship between them. It also sought to uncover statistically significant differences in the application of visual management and its role in enhancing employee engagement according to the variables of gender, experience, academic qualification, and direct supervisor. The study employed a descriptive-correlational methodology and relied on a questionnaire as the primary tool for data collection. It was conducted during the second semester of the 1446 AH / 2025 AD academic year on a sample of 161 administrative employees. The results showed that the level of practicing visual management strategies was high, with a mean score of 3.88. The “establishing work rules” strategy ranked first, followed by “eliminating waste,” then “purification,” and finally “continuous improvement.” The findings also indicated that the level of employee engagement was high, with an overall mean of 4.20, and that there was a strong, positive, and statistically significant correlation (r = 0.73) between the level of practicing visual management strategies and the level of employee engagement. Moreover, the results revealed statistically significant differences in favor of females and employees with more than ten years of experience, while no significant differences were found based on academic qualification or type of direct supervisor.
