Main Article Content
Abstract
The research aims to determine the Sharia ruling on the issues of land grants mentioned in the texts of the executive regulations for organizing housing support, and its impact on citizens in terms of the stability of their livelihood. The study problem was represented by the main research question: To what extent does the housing support system provided by the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing comply with the rules and principles of Sharia regarding land grants? The study was based on the inductive analytical method, and the research items were examined by examining the Sharia texts and the opinions of jurists, referring to the primary sources. The research concluded that the state’s granting of land to its citizens fulfills the objective of providing housing, so that a person and his family can live in a house that shelters them and meets their needs, and that the articles of the regulations are consistent with the texts of Sharia and its objectives. The researcher concluded that it is necessary to continue research on land grant issues and to keep abreast of the products offered by the ministry, and to demonstrate their compatibility with Islamic Sharia.
