Abstract

This entitled research  "The Described Jurisprudential Sayings as Distant in Al-Furu' Book - A Collection and Study in the Doctrine," whereas the researcher relied on the analytical inductive approach. Jurisprudential sayings excluded by Ibn Muflih or other such as Hanbali doctrine, then was studied regarding on those who hold the distant view, and a clarification of the accepted view in the doctrine. A summary of the study was then submitted, along with a weighting of the arguments. The research consists of an introduction, in which the researcher identifies the term "distant" linguistically and technically, and a biography of the author and his Al-Furu' Book. The researcher then discusses six topics on the jurisprudential sayings described as distant by Ibn Muflih in the books of purification, prayer, zakat, rituals, punishments, and testimonies. The book concludes with a conclusion that presents the most important findings and recommendations. The most important findings are: The term "distant opinion" is intended by jurists to refer to the existence of a significant discrepancy between a juristic opinion and a recognized principle in Islamic law. The description of "distant opinion" in general terms, as reported by Ibn Muflih in his book "Al-Furu'," is valid. The most important recommendations are: The need to pay attention to the specific terminology of the Hanbalis in their writings and to balance them, regarding their usefulness in identifying the opinions of the school.
