Abstract
This paper sought to study the maxim that states that: “The indefinite noun in the context of confirmation in a statement of indebtedness connotes generalization”, and the mention of the practical matters of jurisprudence that were impacted by it. The research concluded that, upon critical examination, it was found that the indefinite noun in the context of confirmation in a statement of indebtedness limits the generalization. This research has compiled all the practical matters of jurisprudence that were impacted by the maxim whose mention were omitted in some literature on the science of fundamental of jurisprudence “Uṣūl al-Fiqh”.
